Media Team Trench Report

As the 2013 season winds down, the Media Department of the Bamburgh Research Project would like to thank everyone who supported us this year. Image The Media Department have managed to achieve several key items on our to-do list this season. In addition to our usual covering of the trenches, creation of short videos, our social media presence and regular blog updates, Emily and I took on some pretty big projects. We have attempted (and hopefully succeeded!) in reaching a wider audience with details of the Bamburgh Research Project via Twitter and Facebook, updated the blog site, and have completed a shiny, new website. Image To everyone who supported our Sponsume campaign, we thank you. A fundraising drive like that cannot succeed alone, and we are very aware that while many people were not in a situation to assist financially we could not have had the success that we did without their sharing and retweeting efforts. We will be reposting our VIP blog posts this autumn, and we hope you enjoy seeing them as much as we enjoyed making them. Image Basically, the Media Girls would like to say a very big THANK YOU to everyone who has been involved with or supported us this season including our Media Director Gerry Twomey. This season has held many ups and downs, and many challenges of personal and professional nature. We have had several wonderful people who visited or volunteered to help the Media Dept. and because of this help we have achieved a great deal of what we set out to do.

Much love and high regards to all the archaeologists out there,

Emily Andrews and Natalie Bittner
