Hello, my name is Jeff, and I am a first year student of the BRP. A couple of weeks ago I began posting interviews on the blog of various students that have been working throughout this year’s season. The purpose behind these interviews is so that for those who have never been on a BRP dig, they can gain insight on the students and their perspectives of the project.
This week’s interviewee: Tom
-Tom is an Australian student currently finishing up his degree in archaeology.
Q: How long have you been studying archaeology?
A: Six years.
Q: What is your concentration of study?
A: Historical archaeology.
Q: What made you decide to join the BRP?
A: I first heard about the project from the website. The project itself is also very affordable.
Q: How has your experience been thus far with the BRP?
A: It’s been a good experience. I’ve never worked in a castle before now either. We don’t have sites like this back in Australia.
Q: Do you think that you’ll return to the project next year?
A: Yes, I’d like to come back next year.
